Home-grown entrepreneurs who see signs of crisis in their business can apply to take part in the Early Warning programme run by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) and the Family Firms Foundation. Its aim is to teach them how to recognise that a threat to their company is approaching - and to point out opportunities for getting out of trouble.<\/p>\n

- Entrepreneurs will receive free assistance from consultants - business and restructuring advisors - who will take a 'bird's eye view' of the company and identify problem areas in advance,\" explains Ma\u0142gorzata M\u0105czy\u0144ska of PARP.\n<\/div>\n

The work with the consultant will last about 10 hours. If after diagnosing the company's situation he considers that the company requires restructuring<\/a>, will refer it to a specific restructuring advisor from the PARP list.<\/p>\n

\n\u2013 We have been working on this project for almost 10 years. Its aim is prevention and protection companies before bankruptcy<\/a>. It is very important for the owner of the company to know how to recognize the symptoms of the threat of insolvency at a very early stage and what procedures to implement so that the problems do not escalate. So that the company does not wait until there is nothing left to do but filing a bankruptcy petition<\/a>. This is what business wisdom and the "second chance" policy implemented and promoted in the European Union are all about - comments Ma\u0142gorzata Anisimowicz, president of the PMR law firm Restructuring<\/a>.\n<\/div>\n

The program is a pilot program and is being implemented in four countries: Spain, Italy, Poland and Greece. The experience gained during its implementation will allow for the introduction of a mechanism Early Warning<\/a> in other EU Member States.<\/p>\n
