Inflation has been the biggest challenge of recent years for 77% entrepreneurs. Of these, as many as 44% rated its impact as 'very big'. This is the conclusion of the study 'Small, medium-sized companies - great challenges', carried out by the IQS research agency on behalf of the insurance company Wiener.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second most frequently mentioned challenge was the increase in labor costs \u2013 their impact was felt by 70% companies. The same percentage of respondents also indicated fuel costs as a key factor influencing the condition of their company. 6 out of 10 owners companies also mentioned the pandemic and lockdown as the most important factors<\/a> impact on their situation. 58% of the respondents also felt rising energy costs<\/a> and electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u261e Wiener's study shows that the effect of the crisis<\/a> as many as 88% companies took various actions to protect themselves from the unfavourable economic situation. The largest number, 63% companies, had to increase the prices of their products and services. More than half of the Polish<\/a> entrepreneurs reduced their investment spending. Every third started building a financial cushion. Some companies facing the crisis<\/a> focused on increased development \u2013 16% expanded its area of operations in Poland, 11% decided to expand abroad, and 13% moved part of its activities to the Internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
