Gross profit generated in Q1 2023 fell to just \u00a364.8m from as much as \u00a3895m in the same period in 2022. Net profit, on the other hand, fell to PLN 24.6 million in Q1 2023 from PLN 783.5 million a year ago. This gives - 7 per cent and 3 per cent of last year's profits respectively \ud83d\udcc9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The crisis in Polish milk processing plants was caused by record milk purchase prices at the end of last year, combined with falling prices in stores, lower demand and high prices. <a href=\"https:\/\/pmrsa.pl\/en\/65-percent-of-companies-increased-prices-due-to-rising-energy-costs\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"502\">energy prices<\/a>. As a result, each of the big three companies (Mlekovita, Mlekpol and Polmlek) has taken over smaller dairies this year \u26a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&quot;The costs of processing have increased beyond belief.
